My name is Melissa Banks. I’m the President of The Chacy Ranior Club of America (CRCA). My family has been breeding the Chacy Ranior since 2005. Dawn Littlefield developed the breed in 2000, which is when we purchased our original Chacy dogs from her, for our son, whom has Aspergers Syndrome. The Chacy Ranior is an amazing companion and therapy pet. The Chacy is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. The average size of a Chacy is 15lbs. The average lifespan is 15yrs.
The Chacy breed was developed specifically for families whom have special needs children. We have helped children with a wide range of special needs, from ADD/ADHD to Anxiety to Autism. We have used a very specific and specialized training program. Our training method, although eccentric and unconventional, works well. We use the formative weeks of the puppy’s life to develop a resourceful, tough, intelligent puppy. We give them the best start, so our families will receive a puppy that will be exceptional. We are present at the births of all of our puppies. We pick up and hold each puppy daily. Once the puppies open their eyes we allow him or her look at us, and we talk to him/her and cuddle with him/her. We are always very gentle with our babies. We do not ever cage our babies.
The CRCA is the only organization dedicated to the ethical development and establishment of this breed. This club is very strict with breeders to ensure that the Chacy is bred for health, life longevity, physical soundness, and temperament. The happiness of the dog, puppies and families that adopt the Chacy is of the utmost importance.
The Chacy Ranior is fairly easy to obedience train. They are stable, outgoing, playful, and alert with an air of dignity, curiosity, intelligence, and devotion to family. This breed is excellent with children and other pets. All breeders in the CRCA will work closely with potential adopting families to ensure that the puppies receive proper placement into a good, loving, and permanent home.
