Buyer Beware! Not sure how this breeder can sleep at night!
****STAY AWAY FROM THIS BREEDER**** Tons of complaints, just do your homework & let your fingers do the walking. All it takes is a little digging to uncover the mounds of problems with this breeder!
>>>> DO NOT SEND MONEY>>>> currently involved with over 12 civil suites involving :: WIRE TRANSFERS :: with no delivary of dogs/goods. He was Band FOR LIFE DougeDeBordeaux socitiy for life for several reasons. Just do your home work all the bloodline and awards are fake or over 15 years old. THE BBB has has “Miss Kretz” doing the reviews of complaints (what a joke) . AS in VON KRETZ bordeaux. Please do your research, the dog that you buy is apart of your family for 10+years make sure you take the time find a good quailty douge.
Why don’t you people sign your postings, this stuff is crazy. Let your fingers do the walking, Von Krenz has an “A” rating with the BBB. They have more OFA (www.offa.org) certifications than any DDB breeder in the world. I called the State Of Minnesota, there are no civil suits pending and none against this breeder. You people need to get a life & be honest. AKC has no complaints against this breeder either. No one could fabricate all the awards they have just for show.
I’ve had my 3 DDBs from this kennel for 4, 7 & 11 years now. Sounds like some dogue breeders are jealous of Von Krenz. They are the best. Plus they have an A rating with a consumer group that looks out for us, the consumers! A rating, sounds like they’re the breeders to go to. Shame on you people for writing lies!!!
Who the hell are these idiots? I own 2 Von Krenz dogs, have known Mark & Patti for a dozen years. Best damn dog people you’ll ever meet. They’re both professional people. They don’t breed dogs for money, they breed because they love the breed. Why do these slander boards even exist?
This is certainly not a slanderous site. Facts can be verified very easily and quickly. Check with the AKC, see how many litters this man has registered. Get in touch with the DDBSA (Dogue de Bordeaux Society of America) Ethics Committee about his history with this organization. They will be *very* upfront about their experience with him! And, most importantly, get some testimonials from some of his puppy buyers that have been able to SHOW or even REGISTER their dogues from him. There are red flags everywhere. Though this man may be a master manipulator, there is no reason to ever purchase a pup from him. And, just for the record, I am NOT a breeder. Just one of many who was duped by this slimeball. He’s a travesty to this breed.
I strongly discourage anyone from getting their puppy here. I bought a Dogue from him about 7 years ago. He assured me (and I paid for) the dog to be hand delivered by a flight attenent to Houston. Nope. Supposedly a last-minute change that he didn’t disclose until my girl was in the air. She was delivered to us from cargo. She has lived indoors in a child-free home since I got her and has been jumpy and nervous from day one. I have spent over $10,000 in vet specialist with all of her health issues. She has always eaten a top-of-the-line diet, had frequent vet care and taken joint supplements. She has sever allergies (allergic to human dander, grass and trees), extremely poor vision, reoccurring ear infections, reoccurring UTIs because of a recessed vulva, arthritic knees since she was 2, and a degenerative spinal cord issue that causes weakness in the back legs as well as fecal and urinary incontanance. I used to call him about her issues when she was younger, but he always said the same thing, “It’s not the blood line, it’s because you had her spayed before she was 2 years old.” Who waits that long to spay a family pet if you’re going to breed her? My highly respected vet warned me against waiting because it increases the chance of breast cancer. I love my Million Dollar Baby as we have come to call her, but I will never own another because of how difficult it has been to see her so frequently in pain and discomfort. I thank God she did come to me and not a family who couldn’t afford the constant specialists. We are headed back to the neuroligist in the morning!
We bought a female from Mark and had her hand delivered in Feb 2014. After having her for about 6 weeks we noticed that she had an unusual gait. Took her to our vet who I diagnosed OCD in her shoulders and also problems with both her elbows. I attempted to contact Mark both via phone and email. I also left a message on his Facebook page. No response so far. I didn’t want a replacement or to be compensated for the over $5k spent, I just wanted him to know that there was possibly a problem with the breeding.
The puppy was kept indoors, was fed the food he recommended amid didn’t “rough house” with our adult Neo mastiff. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this breeder.

Been an owner of 2 ddbs from Mark. Oldest lived to be 14 years, no problems. My question is if he is so bad why does the head Vet of the USDA own one. Her name is Honor. Ddbs society is a joke. When all went down he was having issues with another breeder who had 2 head people of ddbs in her pocket. Look it up. They voted him out. Good riddance I say. Politics first was what was important to them. I have my boy who is now 7 and has not slowed down. Both him and my girl loved everyone have had No problems. Mark has always been there for me, even at 4:30 in the morning with a problem welpping. Puppies tried to come through the canal at the same time. Just incase you wanted to ask what the problem was. My next ddb will be a Von Krenz time and time again.
