Saplaninac Dogs and Puppies from the former Yugoslavia. Our foundation stock was brought to the USA in 2007 are from villages of the former Yugoslavia. These excellent flock guardians are fairly rare in America but are rapidly becoming popular as a companion and flock guardian. They are loyal and highly committed to the family, courageous and intelligent.
Was looking forward to hearing about and seeing your puppies and their parents. Also, what have your animals been trained to do, or what animals are they associated to on your premises. We’re planning to get chickens, and thought a Sar would find them a nice little flock to take care of. (We have several predators who would love to have chicken dinner!) Mostly racoons, possums, hawks, and an occasional coyote. Would need to know the asking price, and what type of shipping. As for us, both my husband and I have been dog owners since we were kids. Everything from German Shepherd down to Chihuahua. Loved them all!!! And most of them shared our bed, except for the Norwegian Elkhound, although loyal and loving, was not a “cuddle” type dog. A Sar would “probably” share the building with the chickens. If not, she would be in the house.
